Eldris Morakniv® Knife
One of the newest models by a known and appreciated all around the world Mora Kniv. Thanks to their price, reliability and versatility, knives from this Swedish manufacturer have become popular in most diverse environments. In this way, knives created initially for plumbers or electricians have earned respect of survivalists and bushcrafters from all corners of the world. This time Mora Kniv designers decided to create a series of knives specifically for them. One of the three presented novelties is Mora Eldris.
This neat and incredibly handy knife was created to be worn around a neck (neck knife). It is a quite popular way of reaching for it in majority of situations, even emergencies. In contrast to typical “necks” Eldris has oval grip, which significantly improves comfort of work, while stability and hand placement allows to use the knife for a wide array of different tasks. It is highly atypical for this type of construction.
A 54 mm long blade was made from 12C27 steel that is known for its excellent reliability. Furthermore it is a stainless steel with high hardness factor. The result of using such steel is a knife adequate for every day use with very good blade hardness that is easy to sharpen. The grind used in Eldris is a reliable and timeless Scandinavian grind with delicate narrowing that improves the blade’s penetration qualities. The back edge was ground to aggressive 90 degrees, which allows for very comfortable and efficient striking of sparks.
The entire set is complemented by a special grip with a latch that prevents the knife from falling out of a sheath, a fire starter and paracord for hanging the knife on a neck.
