IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE GFC ENERGY MICROPROCESSOR CHARGER

Consumer notification about identified non-conformities posing a high risk of electric shock to users of the product: microprocessor-based charger by GFC energy, model: Compact Balance Charger LiPo, EAN code: 5902543105011

GF Corp sp. z o.o. sp. k. based in Wroclaw informs that the microprocessor-based charger of GFC energy brand, model: Compact Balance Charger LiPo, EAN code: 5902543105011 does not meet the requirements of PN-EN 60335-2-29:2022-05/A1:2022-06 "Household and similar electrical appliances. Safety in use. Part 2-29: Specific requirements for battery chargers" and the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Development of June 2, 2016 on requirements for electrical equipment, due to:

• incorrect design of the charger, i.e. the enamel wires of the primary winding and the secondary safety connector are in direct contact with each other (they do not have adequate mechanical separation),
• failure of the charger power cord connector to meet the requirements,
• gaps between the primary and secondary circuits that are too short
• no indication on the product of the rated input power or rated current, reference to the model or type, Class II symbol,
• lack of information in the instruction manual about: restrictions on the use of the product by children over 8 years of age; indication of the rated capacity and number of batteries that can be charged; a warning against charging non-rechargeable batteries and an indication,
• that the battery must be placed in a well-ventilated area when charging.

Failure of the charger to meet the above requirements poses a high risk of electrocution to charger users.

At the same time, we would like to inform you that this notice has been published in connection with the proceedings conducted by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, while the charger itself has been withdrawn from sale.
