MG42 Machinegun Replica
Thanks to G&G company another treat for historical replica enthusiasts and fans of historical airsoft has arrived on the market. A long-awaited replica of a well-known, pressed into service in 1942, Maschinengewehr 42 - MG42 machinegun replica. A construction that in the hands of soldiers of Third Reich (and not only!) has spread fear along almost all fronts of WWII and as the years went by has become legendary.
At first glance (and feel!) it is apparent that this is no toy, but a solid piece of work. The size and details of the original were imitated as best as possible, furthermore the full-metal construction has allowed to provide a significant weight - almost 11 kg without a loaded magazine. Polymer parts include: pistol grip linings (as in the live firearm original) and ammo belt from the magazine.
The replica is made mostly from steel, namely: the bipod, barrel cover, flash hider, entire receiver, magazine and all mechanisms connected to barrel release and reloading are made from steel. The outer barrel was made from a zinc and aluminium alloy. Gearbox was made from 6061 aluminium with the use of CNC machines. Polymer parts include the feeder/magazine finish, round dummies and pistol grip.
The stock of the replica, exactly as is the case in the live firearm original, was made from natural, lacquered wood. The Hop-Up adjustment ring is located under the dust cover. Solid, steel bipod can be lock and folder under the barrel. As the live firearm original was adapted for shooting down planes, so does the replica feature appropriate “L-Kimme” iron sights.
In order power airsoft “Saw of Hitler” (as it was called by Allies) a dedicated, specially designed and reinforced gearbox was installed inside the replica and inside it, among others set of steel gears and metal 10mm oil-free bearings. Features a 490mm long and efficient inner barrel. The gearbox features a quick spring change system.
MG42 is fed with an electrically spun box magazine that is a loyal imitation of the original. Its casing was made entirely from steel. The magazine can store up to 1700 BBs and is powered by a 7,4V battery.

Batterij inbegrepen Akumulator NiCd cechuje się dużą wydajnością prądową, ale występuje w nich uciążliwy efekt pamięci. Powinny być rozładowywane i ładowane w pełnych cyklach, tj. zaleca się pełne rozładowanie, a po rozładowaniu należy akumulator niezwłocznie naładować nie pozostawiając go na dłużej w stanie rozładowanym. Akumulatory NiMH charakteryzują się szybszym czasem samorozładowania i krótszą żywotnością - z drugiej strony, osiągają one ok. 30% więcej pojemności. | Ja |
