2016-04-22The pistol's slide and frame are plastic but a very good quality plastic. Some internals including the trigger, hammer lever, outer & inner barrels and slide spring guide are made of metal. It weighs in at 535g complete with magazine (205g) which makes it feel like you are holding something more serious than a toy spring pistol.
Power is not that great and the quoted 140 fps is probably correct. BBs fly straight and true for a good distance so I suspect it uses an effective, if fixed hop-up. Accuracy is goodish - expect to consistently hit a head sized target at 20 feet.
Racking the slide with finger and thumb is easy enough for most adults but kids over 10 will probably need to cup the top of the slide with the palm of their hand and push back. I suspect most kids under 10 will not be able to rack the slide effectively without help.
The magazine holds 12 BBs that have to be loaded one at a time as there's no way to use a speed loader.
When the pistol is not racked the trigger will function in double or single action. You can pull the trigger repeatedly and the hammer will cock and fall on each pull (double action) or you can cock the hammer and have a shorter trigger pull (single action). Of course the gun will not fire any BBs when you do this. To fire BBs you have rack the slide so it's effectively a single action pistol.
The slide can be racked and released until the magazine is empty which will cause the slide to lock back - this is a very nice touch in a pistol in this price range. With the slide back, drop the mag, reload, reinsert mag and press the slide catch - the slide will return loading the first BB from the mag as it does so - just like the real thing (see " return to battery").
As well as a working slide catch there is a fully functional safety lever (which works in both double and single action) and an ambidextrous mag release.
There appears to be no way of removing the top slide without risk of damage and the ejection port cover is glued to the slide so does not open which is a bit of a shame.
This is not the pistol to pack for airsoft skirmishes but it's great for garden shoot outs or general plinking. All in all a very well put together pistol and excellent value for money.

2014-10-29This gun was a big suprise for me. It has a slide that sticks back if the magazine is empty. Feels very sturdy and shoots like a charm. For the money one of the best pistols I bought (bought 5 pistols for some special games with friends)
