Airsoft repair service

01.

No, you will not increase the muzzle velocity. The battery voltage only affects the rate of fire of the airsoft gun and its trigger response.

02.

Capacity is the basic parameter of any battery. It expresses the ability of the cell to store electrical charge and is usually expressed in ampere-hours [Ah]. The larger the battery capacity, the longer we can use the airsoft gun on one full charge.

03.

The battery capacity determines the maximum number of shots you can fire from your airsoft gun on a fully charged battery. A battery with a larger capacity means longer playtime and fewer charging cycles.

04.

We cannot provide a predetermined working time of a given battery or the number of BBs that can be fired from an airsoft gun on one charge. This depends on how the particular model of the airsoft gun is configured, i.e., what parts were used in it and - for example - on the selected firing mode.

05.

Before choosing the battery, you need to check how much space is provided for it in a given airsoft gun. Whether it is placed in the stock, in the grip, under the dust cover, or in the handguard. The battery should also be equipped with the same connector as the airsoft gun. In the case of modified models, it is worth consulting the selection of the proper battery with an authorized airsoft service and fallow the manufacturer's recommendations for the airsoft gun. More information here.

06.

First, check how much space the airsoft gun has for the battery. Different models will fit into the stock, handguard, under the dust cover, or the grip. Also, make sure it has the same connector as the airsoft gun. If your airsoft gun model has been modified, we recommend consulting with an authorized airsoft service. Remember also to always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the airsoft gun.

07.

The most commonly recommended batteries for airsoft guns are those with a voltage between 7.2V and 8.4V. Before purchasing, it is worth checking the recommendations of the manufacturer of a given airsoft gun model. Never use a battery with a higher voltage than the one specified by the manufacturer.

08.

It is worth using modern microprocessor chargers for all types of batteries. They automate the entire charging process, supervise its progress, and cut off the voltage after charging. This prevents overcharging of the battery and potential malfunctions.

09.

Always use batteries recommended by the airsoft gun manufacturer. Forcing the mechanism of the airsoft gun to work at a higher voltage can result in faster wear and tear and failure. A Li-Po 7.4V battery is always the safest choice.

10.

These markings indicate that a given spring should generate enough power to allow the BB to be fired at a speed of M90 (90m/s), M100 (100m/s), etc. These values should be treated as approximate - the muzzle velocity of the BB depends not only on the type of spring used in the airsoft gun.

11.

The hop-up system consists of a bucking, a chamber, and a spacer. The bucking applies pressure to the BB and sets it in rotational motion. After leaving the barrel, the BB begins to spin at a high speed and uses friction with the air flowing around it, creating a pressure difference above and below the BB. This phenomenon is an example of how lift counteracts gravity. More information here.

12.

There are several types of Hop-Up systems available, with and new, improved designs appearing from time to time. Currently, we can distinguish the following types: R-Hop (harder to install), Flat-Hop (easier to install), Bax System (increasing the stability of the BB in flight), TR-Hop (ensuring better sealing of the BB, as well as precision and range of shots), S-Hop (similar to R-Hop but uses different materials and is easier to install), T-Hop (providing better BB pressure and sealing).

13.

HPA airsoft guns are powered by compressed air - usually from an external tank. These replicas are characterized by high firing rate, low failure rate, and high precision.

14.

There may be several reasons. The magazine may have frozen, the volume of gas may have changed due to the surrounding temperature, it also depends on the quality and type of gas used. In many cases, there is more room for BBs than the replica can fire on one gas supply.

15.

The best way to start tuning the airsoft gun is to install a good Hop-Up rubber and replace the barrel with a precision one. The next step may be to seal the pneumatics by installing a sealed piston and cylinder heads, as well as a sealed nozzle. This is often done when fitting precision Hop-Up chambers. It is best to leave the spring replacement until the end. More information here.

16.

The reason may be an electrical fuse, slipped wire connectors from the motor, or worn or damaged wires. If these elements are functional and working correctly, and the airsoft gun still does not respond to the trigger, you can report it as a complaint.

17.

It all depends on the airsoft gun's intended use. Gears with a 12:1 or 13:1 ratio put a lot of strain on the motor but provide high firing rates. On the other hand, gears with an 18:1 or 100:300 ratio relieve the motor, allowing for stronger springs to be pulled, but providing low firing rates.

18.

No. The fired BBs may have invisible deformations (caused by hitting or rubbing against something in flight), which can cause jamming even in stock barrels. Additionally, we expose the airsoft gun’s internal mechanisms to dirt found on the ground from the reused BB.

19.

First of all, you should immediately stop shooting , as this may damage the gearbox system. You can use the included ramrod, which is a relatively safe way to unblock the barrel in field conditions. We do not recommend using other items for this, as they may damage the barrel and chamber of the airsoft gun. After removing the jammed BB, it is worth cleaning the barrel as instructed by the manufacturer in the user manual.

20.

Very often, this is caused by excessive discharge of the battery. Be careful not to let the voltage on the LiPo battery cell drop below 3.2V. A drop below this value may cause the charger not to detect the battery, and in extreme cases, damage it.

21.

Yes. Very often, increasing the power and torque of the motor can lead to damage to the gears or piston. The first step is to replace these elements with reinforced versions.

22.

According to the law, personalized products are not subject to return but retain their warranty.

23.

The spring replacement depends on the construction of the airsoft gun. In standard gearboxes, spring replacement takes about 30-60 minutes, but many airsoft guns are equipped with a so-called quick spring change systems, which significantly reduces the replacement time. It should also be remembered that opening the gearbox usually results in the loss of the warranty, so it is worth consulting a professional service in this matter.

24.

It depends on the type of motor installed. Torque motors are used for power tuning to power stronger springs. Speed motors are responsible for faster operation, which increases the rate of fire of the airsoft gun.

25.

Guidelines and instructions can be found on our website QuickFix.

26.

The most common causes are: improper maintenance (lack of lubrication on pneumatic system elements and dirt), too low ambient temperature, too short intervals between consecutive shots in SINGLE mode, using low-quality BBs, too low gas pressure in the magazine, frozen magazine/seals (effect of too rapid firing), as well as natural wear and tear of components.

Airsoft - basic questions

01.

Airsoft is a team based game that utilizes airsoft guns powered by spring, electricity, or gas, which fire composite BBs. Airsoft is characterized by a high level of realism provided by the airsoft guns that faithfully reproduce various models of weapons, uniforms and equipment (often original, used by armed forces of different countries) and various types of game modes. More information here.

02.

ASG (Air Soft Gun) refers to airsoft weapon replicas that accurately replicate their original counterparts in a 1:1 ratio. They look very realistic, but shoot composite BBs. In Poland, the terms ASG and airsoft are used interchangeably.

03.

Airsoft guns should only be carried in a dedicated case or hidden in another accessory. Carrying it around in public may result in a response from the authorities.

04.

Airsoft is safe provided all safety measures are followed. A shot with a small pellet leaves barely visible trace, but when playing in abandoned areas, special caution should be exercised. It is also necessary to wear protective goggles or a face mask. More information here.

05.

Green Gas (GG) is a special mixture of propane, silicone oil, and possibly other additives. Compressed Green Gas is released in a controlled manner, and as a result of its expansion, the BB is rapidly pushed out of the barrel. Green Gas is non-toxic but flammable, so safety precautions should always be exercised. It is recommended to use it at temperatures above +15*C - in colder weather, it loses its expanding properties.

06.

It is best to shoot an airsoft gun away from public places. These can be forests or abandoned buildings. Of course, it is best to use prepared and legal areas. In the case of private areas, you should contact the owner to obtain permission. However, we recommend using already verified places - they can be found on airsoft forums or Facebook groups.

07.

The gearbox is the heart of an electric airsoft gun. It is a pneumatic system that drives the airsoft gun. It is here that all adventures related to replica tuning begin.

08.

MOSFET is an electronic system that supports the operation of the airsoft gun. It is characterized by a variety of options, from basic to advanced (programmable) systems. It increases the efficiency and durability of the airsoft gun’s components. More information here.

09.

Only certified goggles that comply with CE and ANSI safety standards should be used in airsoft. The shape and color can of course be chosen according to personal preferences. For skirmishes at shorter distances, it is also recommended to use masks or protective goggles.

10.

The basic element of clothing that you should always have with you is protective goggles. Eye safety is the most important. Uniforms or equipment are not required, but they increase immersion in the game. They are useful in reconstructions and are more comfortable then regular clothing and aid in organizing additional magazines and other necessary accessories.

11.

Yes and no. It all depends on the distance and power of the airsoft gun, as well as the area we are hit in. Sometimes there may be a small bruise, but most of the time being hit by an airsoft BB does not leave any marks.

12.

The type of gas depends on the model of the airsoft pistol that we have. The exact information is always provided in the manufacturer's instructions. The most commonly used gas is regular Green Gas, but some manufacturers recommend using weaker gases such as HFC134a.

13.

Carbon dioxide has a higher pressure than Green Gas and is placed in 12g aluminum cartridges that are inserted into the magazine. Green gas, on the other hand, is filled from a larger pressurized tank. More information here.

14.

Pressing the trigger causes the trigger switch connector to push, closing the electrical circuit. Current flows to the motor, which rotates three gear wheels. They engage with a piston in the cylinder, which compresses the spring. When the gears complete a full cycle, the piston and spring are released. The appropriate heads and cylinder compress air and eject it through the nozzle towards the HU chamber. There is a BB in the chamber, which is propelled by the pressure.

15.

Mainly the shape and it’s purpose. Gearbox V2 is primarily dedicated to replicas from the AR15 family, while V3 is used with replicas from the AK family. Individual elements are also designed only for a specific GB shell. The V2 and V3 designations are used only to correctly match the gearbox to the airosft gun model. They do not indicate a better/next generation. More information here

16.

Flat-hop is one version of the Hop Up system. It consists of a flat spacer instead of a cylindrical one, as well as a bucking that is not equipped with an internal protrusion. Flat-hop can slightly increase the range of our airsoft gun. More information here.

17.

The choice of an airsoft gun is tied to your budget. At the very beginning, you do not need advanced equipment, and you can find a good quality airsoft gun in the price range of £100 to £200.

18.

The basic equipment you’ll need at the start is an airsoft gun, ammunition, and mandatory eye protection in the form of special protective goggles or safety glasses. You do not need any other accessories, but a bit of enthusiasm and a positive attitude will definitely come in handy. More information here.

19.

In most European countries, you do not need a permit to buy and use airsoft guns. According to the law of the United Kingdom, any citizen over 18 years of age can own an airsoft guns, but they must also meet the conditions of the Violent Crimes Reduction Act (VCRA).

20.

There may be additional restrictions in some countries. For airsoft guns sent to the United Kingdom, we need a UKARA license or another valid license under the VCRA. For airsoft guns sent to Switzerland, we need import documents issued by the Swiss police. For airsoft guns sent to Ireland, it is necessary to downgrade it to 1J, and to Germany to 0.5J (only for airsoft guns with a full auto mode).
