IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING GFC ENERGY MICROPROCESSOR CHARGER

Part 2-29: Particular requirements for battery chargers” and the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Development of 2 June 2016 on the requirements for electrical equipment, due to:

improper charger design, i.e. the enamelled wires of the primary winding and the secondary safety connector remain in direct contact (lack of appropriate mechanical separation),

the power cord connector of the charger not meeting the requirements,

insufficient clearance between the primary and secondary circuits,

lack of product markings for rated input power or current, model or type reference, and Class II symbol,

missing information in the user manual regarding: restrictions on use by children over 8 years old; the rated capacity and number of batteries that can be charged; a warning against charging non-rechargeable batteries; and an indication that during charging, the battery must be placed in a well-ventilated area.

Failure to meet the above requirements poses a high risk of electric shock to users of the charger.

This notice has been published in connection with proceedings conducted by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). The charger has been withdrawn from sale.
