2024-04-08Amazing addition to my m9. During under-30 minute cqb matches with high intensity and high firerate, it didnt run out of gas or even spring tension once. The only time i actually had to rewind it in middle of shooting is when i had to hold the gun upside down, but i blame myself there, as the BBs simply couldnt feed anyways so the spring released due to no more BBs entering the feed mechanism just like a regular aeg stick hicap. It also is not affected by the cold from the green gas - only slight frosting, minimal feeding issues (nothing unusual for GBBs) and no externally observable damage. The feeding is consistent enough, with only 1 or 2 instances of double feeding, that happened only in warmup.
Overall, its everything and more than i expected. Additionally, i want to say that the extra weight the drum mag adds is barely noticable, especially in middle of a cqb game. For extended games i would recomend some single-point sling for stowing away, but in cqb the sling is far more encumbering than the drum mag itself.
5 stars.
