Another instalment of the cult carbine produced by JG, a veteran on the airsoft market.
The refreshed version of the popular model G36 is characterised by excellent workmanship in terms of finishing of the elements and selection of materials. The model is very compact, we will not experience any sprues or unevenly cast elements here. The replica is made of high-quality polymer in matt colour and solid aluminium alloy.
The replica's gearbox is equipped with reinforced parts and a fast spring replacement system.

2025-09-07A very decent platform for the price but I do recommend upgrading it. It feels nice and solid in the hands, no creaks or rattles that come with most other G36C's (at least from what I've heard), but personally I'm not too big of a fan of the keymod handguard, especially since you can see the battery through the holes, but I don't doubt that aftermarket handguards won't fit fine. Since it runs on a 7.4v and doesn't have a MOSFET I hurried to buy and install the Gate Aster V3, which definitely improved how it performs a lot. Additionally I would recommend buying and replacing the Hopup bucking since it feels a bit cheap.
A few other things that I disliked (though keep in mind these may be problems with the G36 platform in general):
- The sound of the bolt being pulled back is very plasticy, my M4 beats it by a ton (huge loss for people who like to pretend that the bolt actually does anything on an AEG)
- The insertion of mags is pretty stiff and unsatisfying, even when using the mag that comes with it
- The fire selector is pretty flimsy while also being very stiff and uncomfortable to put it back into SAFE, even worse since the Gate Aster V3 often misinterprets which firemode you are in as the fire-mode positions are merely suggestions on this gun
- It is incredibly hard to put on the front handguard when there's a battery in it (curse of it being front-wired, I guess)
- The plastic parts have some pretty big seams in some places
If you're into G36's (which I am), are ready to have some fun replacing parts and personalizing it and already have another gun, I do recommend this replica, especially since it's been on a 50% sale for a while now. If you want something more reliable and well performing out of the box, you probably should just go for an M4.
