Arcturus X C.A.T. AR-15 Explorer 8.5" AR AEG FE™ airsoft rifle
This airsoft rifle from Arcturus is constructed using materials including steel, aluminium and polymer. The model features interesting design elements such as a split gearbox (Centaur Split Gearbox with a quick-change spring system). Another interesting feature is the adjustable, folding stock, fitted with Picatinny rails.
The following components are made of steel: the stock guide ring together with the stock hinge (the stock folds to the left), the operating levers (bolt catch, magazine release, fire selector), the dummy extractor, pins and screws. Made from durable aluminium are: an 8.2-inch-long receiver – the receiver is compatible with the M-LOK and RIS systems (there is also an additional top-mounted RIS rail on the receiver). Furthermore, the receiver, reloading levers, muzzle device, outer barrel, gas block dummy and stock guide are made of aluminium.
The ergonomic pistol grip (with a textured surface), magazine and adjustable stock are made of polymer.
