Electro River™ is a new quality in the LiPo pack market. This manufacturer has set itself the task of creating a product that matches the quality of the best players in the battery market while maintaining an attractive price. The offer includes very capacious packs as well as those designed with limited space for power supply in mind - even packs the size of a cigarette lighter!
Thehigh quality of the cables and plugs ensures maximum utilisation of the battery's energy potential by minimising energy transfer losses. This also prevents the contacts from overheating. Each cell is protected by the NanoSafe® system to minimise the potential for the pack to ignite as a result of serious damage.
Thanks to Subzero Power® technology, performance at low temperatures has been increased, and even atsub-zero temperatures the self-discharge rate is very low. The high level of care taken in the manufacture of each cell and the other components ensures minimal internal resistance and voltage strength under load. The above features have resulted in up to 20% more charge cycles than other Li-Po batteries! This makes Electro River™ products an attractive offering for both beginners and advanced LiPo battery users.
Lithium-ion-polymer ( LiPo ) packs are the successors to the well-known lithium-ion ( LiIon ) packs. The main advantage of LiPo batteries is undoubtedly the capacity-to-size ratio. They are very small in size while retaining a very high current capacity, which makes it possible to select a suitable pack for practically every AEG replica. They have no memory effect. They can be charged very frequently without being discharged first. Frequent charging is beneficial for this type of battery.
It is important to remember not to discharge a LiPo pack below 3V per cell and not to overcharge it above 4.2V per cell. Another advantage of LiPo packs is the low percentage self-discharge. When not in use, the pack loses about 3-5% of its energy per month. It is necessary to keep an eye on the pack, as during very long storage a discharge below the permissible minimum value ( 3V per cell ) and irreversible chemical reactions may occur, which may cause deterioration of the pack properties including its permanent damage, in extreme cases - ignition. An unused LiPo pack should have an average charge of approximately 70%.
When used correctly, the life of LiPo packs averages 500-700 cycles. An important aspect is the temperature at which LiPo packs can operate. Unlike other batteries, LiPo cells perform well at low temperatures; however, they should be charged at room temperature. In order to keep LiPo batteries in good condition, they should be balanced during charging using a service plug, which most LiPo packs have (a good LiPo charger has a built-in balancer).
