The Silverback VKS Compact is a spring-powered airsoft sniper rifle in a bullpup configuration, modeled after the Russian VKS Vykhlop sniper rifle.
The replica features a two-stroke Straight-Pull bolt-action mechanism and incorporates design solutions found in the Silverback SRS platform. The Compact version is supplied without a sound suppressor.
External Construction
The replica is constructed from metal and fiberglass-reinforced nylon.

A long top RIS / Picatinny rail runs along much of the replica, allowing optical sights to be mounted. The replica does not feature iron sights.
The handguard is equipped with three additional RIS rails, positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. They allow accessories such as a foregrip, bipod, or laser module to be mounted.
The outer barrel features a threaded muzzle for attaching the dedicated Silverback VKS suppressor or an adapter that allows muzzle devices with 14 mm CCW threads to be used.
The replica also features a steel ejection port cover with configurable operation. The user can choose whether the cover opens during bolt cycling or remains closed.
Bolt-Action Mechanism and Trigger System
The Silverback VKS uses a two-stroke Straight-Pull bolt-action mechanism.
To prepare the replica for firing, the bolt handle must be pulled backward and then pushed forward. This action must be repeated before every subsequent shot.
An adjustable piston sear allows the characteristics of the trigger mechanism to be adjusted.
The design allows quick removal of the bolt assembly after extracting two pins, without the need for specialized tools.
Hop-Up and Internal Components
The replica features an adjustable TDC Hop-Up system, allowing the backspin applied to BBs to be adjusted.
The pneumatic system features a 41 cm³ cylinder and a dampened piston head with an Airbrake system.
The longest Airbrake is factory-installed. Additional Airbrake components allow the piston head configuration to be adjusted according to factors such as BB weight and inner barrel length.
The set also includes three Hop-Up nub variants:
Low Nub – factory-installed
Medium Nub – +250 µm
High Nub – +500 µm
Using nubs of different heights allows the pressure applied to the Hop-Up bucking to be adjusted to the replica's configuration.
Compatibility with the SRS Platform
The Silverback VKS uses selected components compatible with the Silverback SRS standard, making replacement and upgrade parts easier to source.

The replica uses a double-stack Mid-Cap magazine with a capacity of 63 BBs.
The feeding system also includes a feed tube holding an additional 5 BBs, located between the magazine and the Hop-Up chamber.

Due to the use of steel structural components, the manufacturer recommends regular cleaning and maintenance of the replica to reduce the risk of corrosion.

Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down.
