Product description

Telescope Skywatcher BK 1141EQ1

The Sky Watcher BK1141EQ1 telescope offers an affordable price, high mobility and extensive equipment. It is the ideal model to introduce to the world of amateur astronomy and is often chosen as the first telescope. A special system has been built into the optical axis of the telescope, extending the focal length of the telescope to 1000 mm while maintaining the compact dimensions of the tube.

Optical system:

Reflecting telescope (Newton system) with an aperture of 114mm and a focal length of 1000mm. Due to the moderate focal ratio, the telescope allows you to observe both planets and the moon as well as bright deep sky objects such as star clusters or nebulae. The telescope with this aperture can see about 190 times more light than the human eye at night, providing the ability to observe objects up to nearly 12 magnitudes (with the naked eye visible up to 6 magnitudes). The size of the mirror is also related to the optical resolution, which in this telescope enables it to separate stars that are more than 1.2 ”apart.

Assembly:

The EQ1 parallactic assembly is equipped with micromovements and allows for setting the telescope according to atlas or sky maps and smooth movement along the right ascension and declination axis. The assembly should be properly set and aligned with the North Pole of the sky, thanks to which we will be able to operate the telescope in a simple and convenient way. The assembly can be fitted with a drive which will enable automatic tracking of object in the sky.

Focuser:

The telescope is fitted with a focuser that allows for the use of 1.25 ”eyepieces. The set includes two 10 and 25mm lenses with 40 and 100x magnification, and a Barlow 2x lens with 80x and 200x magnification.

Astronomical observations:

1. Solar system

-objects on the lunar surface larger than 1- 2 km in size;

- sunspots and their structure;

- all planets of the solar system;

- the phases of Venus

- Mars

- Jupiter's equatorial belts and Galilean moons

-the rings of Saturn and the largest moon Titan

-Uranus and Neptune are also within range of this telescope

- asteroids motion against the background of stars

- observations of bright comets

2. Stars

-about 1.8 million stars across the sky, shining down to about magnitude 12-12.5

-double and multiple stars separated from each other angular by more than 1.5 ".

- the colors of many bright stars

3. Deep sky objects

-hundreds of open star clusters

-Many globular clusters with clearly visible stars on the outskirts

- dozens of galaxies, the brighter ones have a visible shape

-lots of bright nebulae where structure is already visible

- beautiful planetary nebulae

Ground observations

A telescope with this type of optics is not suitable for ground observation. To invert the image, use the so-called straightening lens, thanks to which we will reverse the image back (straight).

Attached glasses

Attached glasses
Eyepieces included. They affect the magnification obtained with the telescope. To get the magnification available with a given configuration, divide the focal length value by the diameter of the eyepiece. So, for a telescope with a focal length of 900 mm and an eyepiece diameter of 20 mm, you will get a base magnification value of 45 x, while using a 6 mm eyepiece in the same telescope - 150 x.

Kellner K 10 mm

A popular achromatic eyepiece with a wide field of view reaching 40°, providing good image quality at the edges of the observation field.

Kellner K 25 mm

A popular achromatic eyepiece with a wide field of view reaching 40°, providing good image quality at the edges of the observation field.

Eyeglass

Telescopes can be supplied with an eyepiece focuser in two standards - 0.98" and 1.25". This information is important to determine the compatibility of the equipment with additional eyepieces, photographic adapters, etc.

1,25"
Fibber

The ratio of the focal length of an optical instrument to its diameter. It is a constant that determines the amount of light reaching the focal point of the main lens or mirror. In practice, the smaller the value of f, the better and more accurate the image we get.

f/8,77
Focal [mm]

Focal length [mm]
The distance between the focus of an optical system and the focal point of the optical system. It affects the magnification given by the optical system and the lens speed.

1000
Image reversible

Image reversible
A lens that allows you to invert the image 180 degrees, so that you can use the telescope for ground observations. It also provides additional magnification.

No
Lens diameter [mm]

Diameter [mm]

The diameter of the mirror or lens (aperture) - determines the resolving power of the equipment and the observational field of view. Larger instruments usually give greater observational capabilities, better image quality and more detail.
