Some man-made items are so unique they become iconic. Even the future generations appreciate them. They can be highly coveted by collectors and even used in world-class movies, making their fame grow even more. The Desert Eagle Magnum pistol, considered to be one of the most powerful semi-automatic pistols, is one such item.
Its unique design results from the use of revolver cartridges. Thanks to this, the Desert Eagle provides a very strong experience and every gun lover would like to be able to try it out at the shooting range. This option is not always available, but you can always try the Desert Eagle airsoft gun - it doesn’t require a gun permit and can also be used in the field.
The Desert Eagle is an extremely powerful handgun that uses equally powerful Magnum rounds - caliber 44, 55 and 357. It was designed in 1979 by Magnum Research Inc., as an alternative to high-caliber revolvers. The choice of such powerful ammunition in this pistol forced the designers to develop technical solutions very unusual for this type of weapon.
The Desert Eagle pistol uses gas pressure vented from the barrel. When the projectile is fired through them and passes the opening at the front of the barrel, some of the gases enter the duct, where it hits the piston in the gas chamber. This moves the slide - or rather a special gas rod - to the rear - this mechanism not being a typical bolt that most pistols use. After a shot is fired and the pressure in the barrel drops to a safe value, it is unbolted.
The difference between the Desert Eagle Magnum and other pistols is also that the bullet chamber is closed by the rotation of the slide - specifically, the cylinder inside it. This is a solution usually applied in rifles. In the traditional solution, the bullet chamber in the pistol is closed by a monolithic lock.
The Desert Eagle pistol has a fixed barrel, which also distinguishes it from other handguns, as large pistols usually feature a movable barrel. Design changes made it possible to increase its accuracy, which is why the Desert Eagle air gun is a very popular hunting weapon in the United States. You can also easily mount additional accessories on in - e.g. optical sights.
The pistol currently manufactured by the Magnum company is characterized by a polygonal Desert Eagle barrel, which still remains stationary during a shot. Its length is 152 mm and the magazine capacity is 8 rounds. The large dimensions, the construction of the gun and its high efficiency mean that it does not have many practical applications, but it’s a perfect weapon for the shooting range or for hunting. Each shot fired from this gun is very exciting, but not everyone can experience the feeling. People either cannot afford to buy the Desert Eagle or don’t have a gun permit. But you can always buy yourself a Desert Eagle airsoft gun, which does not require permits and can be used in the field, e.g. during airsoft skirmishes.
The Desert Eagle airsoft gun obviously doesn’t use Magnum cartridges, and its internal construction differs from the original, but it can still be a source of lots of emotions and fun. But which airsoft gun should you choose to equal the real firearm?
The airsoft gun can be powered in various ways. The spring airsoft gun is a cheaper solution, featuring a simple spring-based mechanism that has to be reloaded after each shot. However, airsoft pistols are most often powered by green gas or compressed carbon dioxide. This allows to obtain a high initial speed, which makes gas airsoft sidearms very often popular as backup weapons.
It is worth choosing a Desert Eagle CO2 pistol, as it offers not only single fire, but also automatic fire. The trigger in Desert Eagle airsoft guns very often works in the Single Action system, which is typical for single-shot and semi-automatic weapons. BB guns also have special safety features, installed to prevent them from being accidentally fired. This may be, for example, the ambidextrous fire selector, also used in Desert Eagle airsoft guns.
Usually, we want our ASG pistol to imitate its real firearm counterpart as closely as possible - it doesn’t matter whether it is a Glock pistol, a CZ pistol or the Desert Eagle. So what counts is faithful imitation and mechanisms that provide the sensation of using a real weapon. It can be the already mentioned trigger in the Single Action system or the Blow Back system, which imitates the recoil of the slide during a shot. Choosing this type of airsoft gun guarantees a much better experience.
The ASG BB gun will be much cheaper than the real Magnum Desert Eagle. Even if it looks identical and has the original brand markings. You can buy a high-quality ASG CO2 pistol, which also boasts good parameters and an appearance that faithfully reflects the Desert Eagle firearm for just a few hundred zlotys. The real deal, on the other hand, costs up to over a dozen thousand zlotys. The difference is obviously huge, but no worries - every fan of Magnum pistols can have a Desert Eagle in their collection.
