TheELAK 74 M3 is a replica of the AK RMO (Ремонтно-Модернизационный Обвес - Repair and Modernisation Kit) or KM-AK (Комплект Модернизации - Modernisation Kit)carbine, i.e. a refurbished, equipped AK-74 modernisation kit with a new barrel. The AK-RMO is an answer to the requirements of the modern battlefield, prepared for old, worn-out AK-74 carbines. The kit consists of a slotted flame suppressor that also serves as a compensator facilitating shooting with night vision. A new handguard and gas tube cap equipped with RIS rails enabling the installation of additional accessories.a new, simplified comb sight known from the AKS-74U. A hinged breech lid with RIS rail allowing the safe mounting of optics. ergonomic pistol grip, functional magazine, extendable and folding stock and fire mode switch known from the AK-12.
Steel was used to make:
Body, breech chamber cover, discharge device, external barrel, dummy slide, reloading handle, fire selector, base of the rifle's barrel and bow tie, stock guide, stock guide adapter, bail, trigger, notch, all pins and screws.
Durable polymer is used to house the handguard with gas tube attachment, magazine, pistol grip, tactical adjustable buttstock, and mounting rails on the handguard and attachment.
