Radom Arms Factory wz.96A Beryl AEG Assault Rifle
FB Radom WZ.96A Beryl AEG is a faithful airsoft gun of one of the most recognisable Polish military rifles, created in collaboration between the FB Radom and the airsoft gun manufacturer Ares.
This model replicates the wz. 96A Beryl, which was the standard-issue rifle of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and was used for many years by Polish Army soldiers not only at home but also on overseas missions.
Developed in the mid-1990s, the Beryl was intended to replace the previously used 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm calibre designs and bring the Polish Army’s equipment into line with NATO standards. Following successful trials, it was gradually introduced into service with the Polish Armed Forces and took part in overseas missions, including in Iraq, Afghanistan and Chad.
The A version presented here features , amongst other things:
- A steel stock that folds to the side
- A polymer receiver assembly and gas tube cover
- An extended magazine catch (originally from the C version)
- A mid-cap magazine holding 120 BBs
The replica is made from steel, aluminium and polymer.
The following parts are made of steel :
the gas tube, the replica’s body, the bolt cover, the tactical sling swivel, the trigger guard with
an enlarged magazine catch, the folding stock and the safety catch. The following are made of aluminium:
the barrel assembly including the sights, the gas elbow, the
fire mode selector, the reloading (cocking) handle and the muzzle device. The grip, the stock assembly with gas tube cover, and the mid-cap magazine are made of polymer .
This version of the Beryl A is a very interesting option not only for fans of AK-series rifles, but also – and perhaps above all – for enthusiasts of Polish Army equipment. This replica is ideal for Milsim-style events. The distinctive silhouette of the first Beryl version, the markings on the receiver and magazine, the folding stock and the 120-round mid-cap magazine are just some of the many advantages of this Beryl model, which is sure to find a wide audience, not only amongst airsoft players but also amongst enthusiasts of Polish military history and legendary rifles.
