FN Herstal M249 MK1 CORE™ Airsoft Machine Gun
Specna Arms FN Herstal M249 MK1 CORE™ is an electric airsoft machine gun designed for the support gunner role. It combines licensed FN Herstal markings, an M249 gearbox, the ESA™ quick spring change system and a 2500-BB BOX magazine. The polymer body reduces the overall weight compared with M249 replicas that use more metal components.

FN Herstal license and CORE™ construction
The replica is manufactured under an FN Herstal license granted by Cybergun and features licensed manufacturer markings. This model belongs to the Specna Arms CORE™ series.
The construction combines polymer, metal and steel. Polymer components include the body, handguard, receiver cover, front sight with base, magazine and pistol grip. Using polymer for these parts reduces the overall weight of the replica and makes it easier to handle.
Metal components include the outer barrel, magazine well, stock and flash hider. The bipod, outer barrel lock, stock support, trigger guard, carrying handle, pins and mounting components are made of steel. The replica also features a quick-detach barrel system.
M249 gearbox designed for the support gunner role
At the heart of the replica is a full-size metal M249 gearbox. Its design provides a solid base for further upgrades and is suited to the sustained automatic fire characteristic of a support weapon.
The gearbox features:

ESA™ quick spring change system
The ESA™ system allows the main spring to be replaced quickly, making it easier to adjust the replica's configuration without disassembling the gearbox.
To access the spring, simply remove the pin, open the stock hinge and pull the spring guide together with the spring through the opening in the gearbox shell. This allows the spring to be changed without the standard disassembly of the entire mechanism.
2500-BB BOX magazine and STANAG compatibility
The replica comes with a 2500-BB BOX magazine. Its high capacity is well suited to the M249's role as an airsoft support weapon.
BBs are fed automatically by the magazine's electric feeding mechanism, powered by two AA batteries. The replica can also use standard AR15 STANAG magazines.
Note: AA batteries for the BOX magazine are not included.
