Modon Heavy Plate Carrier Tactical Vest
A modular plate carrier vest from Primal Gear, made from durable 500D Cordura . The use of sturdy stitching and high- -quality accessories such as straps, Velcro and buckles further enhance its resilience and durability.
The Modon vest offers excellent comfort when carrying equipment, ideal for low-profile vests. The front and rear panels feature space for size M SAPI-style plate inserts. These are fully covered with webbing compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system. The front panel flap has space for 3 AR/AK magazines, which are further secured with a shock cord. At the rear, there are zips for assault panels or rucksacks. Both panels also feature Velcro for attaching patches or other accessories.
The commerbund consists of two parts. The outer section, which fastens under the front flap, is fitted with Molle/PALS webbing, whilst the interior allows for the insertion of Side SAPI-style dummy side plates. The inner belt, meanwhile, runs from the shoulder blades across the back to the abdomen and fastens beneath the front panel. It has been additionally reinforced and fitted with special padding on the inside to improve wearing comfort. As a result, part of the weight – even when the vest is heavily loaded – is distributed towards the wearer’s hips. On the outer side (both right and left), beneath the outer belt, there is a pouch for an extra magazine or radio. These are secured with shockcord laces.
On the shoulders, in addition to the adjustment system , there are also comfortable pads, fitted with Velcro-adjustable loops for organising cables or a hydration tube. On both shoulders, there are also two quick-release points for emergency removal of the vest. The left shoulder is fitted with a buckle to make it easier to put the vest on and take it off.
