The Specna Arms SA-S03 CORE™ is a spring-powered airsoft sniper rifle replica based on the M40 design. It features a manually operated bolt-action mechanism that requires cycling before each shot. The construction combines metal components with reinforced NCore polymer.
External Construction
The outer barrel, receiver, bolt handle, trigger and mounting components are made of metal. The stock and fore-end are manufactured from reinforced NCore polymer. The metal components feature a Nano Coating finish designed to reduce scratches.
The stock features an adjustable cheek rest and a rubber butt pad, the thickness of which can be adjusted using the included spacers.
The replica is equipped with 22 mm RIS / Picatinny mounting rails, allowing the installation of a riflescope and additional accessories. The set also includes a polymer RIS rail designed for installation on the front section of the fore-end, above the barrel.

The replica consists of two main assemblies: the stock with fore-end and the barrel with receiver. They are joined using three hex socket screws.
Internal Mechanism and Hop-Up
The replica uses a spring-powered bolt-action mechanism, in which manually cycling the bolt compresses the spring before firing.
The design is partially compatible with the VSR-10 standard, allowing the use of selected replacement and upgrade parts. Exceptions include the Hop-Up chamber, cylinder head and magazines, which do not conform to the VSR-10 standard.
The adjustable Hop-Up system allows the BB flight trajectory to be fine-tuned. The adjustment slider is located on the fore-end, allowing the setting to be changed without disassembling the replica.
