AM-009 Airsoft Carbine Replica
The latest series of replicas manufactured by Amoeba Airsoft is based on the well-known design of AR-type assault carbines. However, these replicas have been appropriately modified and enhanced with numerous construction details and interesting technical solutions that improve not only their functionality but also their appearance.
The receiver of the replica is made of reinforced nylon. The quality of the materials used makes it difficult to tell at first glance that it is plastic rather than metal. The receiver features attractive markings, including the model, caliber, and Amoeba Airsoft logo. Metal has been used to manufacture the modular handguard, outer barrel, flash hider, stock buffer tube, and small components. The pistol grip is appropriately contoured and covered with a rough, non-slip texture, which improves grip security and comfort. The magazine release button has been enlarged to make it easier to operate.
The replica is equipped with a telescopic, adjustable stock, allowing its length to be adjusted to the shooter's build and preferences. The battery can be accommodated inside the stock and buffer tube. The stock has attachment sockets on both sides for QD-type tactical sling mounts. Access to the hop-up adjustment is obtained in the standard manner for this type of design – by pulling back the charging handle and exposing the ejection port.
The AM-009 features a modular handguard assembly, allowing the replica to be fully customized to the user's individual needs. 22 mm RIS rail segments can be attached to the assembly in various positions thanks to the holes located around the handguard. The set includes 3 such segments together with mounting screws. A RIS rail is also located on the top of the receiver, allowing a wide range of additional accessories to be installed on the replica, from optical sights to lighting and tactical grips. The carbine features mechanical sights: a folding front sight and a flip-up aperture rear sight, mounted on the RIS rail.
The outer barrel ends with a 14 mm clockwise thread, on which a flash hider is mounted.
Amoeba Airsoft replicas allow quick spring replacement without the need to disassemble the gearbox shell. At the heart of the replica is a reinforced, slightly modified version 2 gearbox featuring an integrated EFCS module – Electronic Firing Control System. It controls the operation of the trigger assembly, ensuring smooth operation and reducing the motor's response time after the trigger is pulled. The standard mechanical trigger contacts have been replaced by an electronic system. The EFCS also features a built-in MOSFET circuit. Shooting effectiveness is ensured by a brass precision tight-bore barrel with a diameter of 6.03 mm.
The EFCS significantly increases the lifespan of the mechanism, and therefore of the entire replica, and allows the use of high-voltage batteries, including LiPo batteries. After purchasing an external, dedicated EFCS programmer, it becomes possible to configure the sequence of firing modes as well as the burst mode (a 3-BB burst).
The magazine included with the replica is a plastic hi-cap with a capacity of 300 BBs. The magazine is covered with a rough, non-slip texture and also features a folding pull-mag handle.
