Replica of the British self-loading rifle L1A1 SLR (Self-Loading-Rifle) The L1A1 is the British version, known as the "inch pattern", of the Belgian assault rifle FN FAL, which was used by over 70 countries in various modified versions. The service of FAL rifles is nearly over today, although it is still used in some parts of the world. The history of the FAL began around 1946 when FN (Fabrique Nationale) began work on a new rifle chambered for the German 7.92x33mm Kurz cartridge. In 1953-1954, the FAL was tested by the American army, and its design was adapted to their requirements, specifically for the use of 7.62x51mm rounds in NATO standard. 

The replica is the British version of the FN FAL, known as the L1A1 SLR, which, for instance, served in the Falklands campaign. This replica is the culmination of ARES's efforts to introduce the L1A1 to the airsoft world The replica is mostly made of metal, with the exception of the steel dust cover, magazine, and carrying handle. High-quality wood is used for the stock, pistol grip, and foregrip.

The replica features a fire selector with only two settings (as in the real firearm):
S - Safe;

R - Round - single fire.

The battery compartment is located in the stock of the replica, and to access it, you need to pull and turn the buttplate to tilt it.
