Airsoft guns from LCT - review

Over a dozen years of airsoft adventure, as a lifelong fan of eastern designs in search of the perfect airsoft gun I have converted airsoft guns from the cheapest JG, Cyma, BOYI through more expensive E&L, G&G, Classic Army, King Arms, KWA. The most expensive rara avis airsoft guns on the market today like NPO AEG, VFC, Real Sword to extreme cases such as customs assembled with from parts from a deactivated real steel counterparts.

In distant 2015, I decided to give Taiwan's Li Cheng Technique Business Company a chance. At first, I had mixed feelings about LCT airsoft guns based on second-hand experiences such as barrel assembly falling out after loosening the screw in the front trunion and the lack of a big mounting pin as seen in VFC airsoft guns or notoriously broken soldered dummy bolt carrier handles. As a milsim guy, I couldn't afford an airsoft gun that might fall apart when thrown on my back, crushed by a backpack or accidentally hitting a wall or tree.

LCT airsoft gun to start with

In addition, in LCT airsoft guns I was sceptical by the level of refinement of some details, as a reenactor I could not afford to have Bulgarian markings in something that was supposed to resemble a Russian rifle or dimensions that did not allow to mount an real steel optical sight. However, when I saw that a replica of the AS VAL LCT special suppresed rifle put up for sale by a friend with a set of magazines at an affordable price I began to wonder. Buying the Russian equivalent of the NPO AEG production, involved paying more than double the amount my friend demanded, not to mention customs and the risk of getting something that resembles a weapon from the Russian Federation. With the amount of customs duties in front of my eyes, a potential visit from customs, and the realization that the plaster on the walls of the dormitory was beginning to run out, I came to the conclusion that, however, different finish and slightly better dimensions were not worth chewing plaster off the walls and explaining the alleged smuggling of weapons... by mail. After a few days of waiting, I was pleasantly surprised. All parts were perfectly fitted together and made by blued steel. Everything sat stiffly, with no play and it was not necessary to use a hammer to disassemble the airsoft gun. The dummy bolt, unlike the older generation models, was not soldered but was screwed together, The operation of the mechanisms was extremely smooth and the results on the chronograph were very stable. Functionality and neat finish took precedence over "kosherness" and the VAL wasn’t my last replica made by LCT.

LCT is constantly improving its airsoft guns. Made of thin sheet metal, soldered or screwed dummy bolt has been replaced with steel cast, completely solving the problems associated with this element. Blueing was replaced by phosphating, making the airsoft guns uniformly black and matte and even more resistant to corrosion. The single bolt holding the barrel to the trunion was replaced with two, and in later generations the diameter of the bolts was also increased, thus eliminating backlash and eliminating the problem of flying fronts.

What are the features of LCT airsoft guns?

LCT airsoft guns have always been famous for their decently made internal parts allowing for easy tune up or long and reliable operation in stock configuration. Thanks to the first-class finish of the steel parts, just cleaning the airsoft gun with a brush and gun oil is enough to make it look like new. It takes a lot of effort to scratch or corrode an airsoft gun from the LCT, most of the scratches are usually remnants of worn coating from magazine teeth or metal buckles from slings.

The latest generations of LCT airsoft guns have been equipped with a quick-change spring system and even ETUs. In addition, the manufacturer realizes that due to its diligence it has become a favorite of many reenactors and has decided to take care of even the most picky customers in terms of reproduction as well. Year after year, LCT provides fans of eastern airsoft guns with newer and newer, previously unproduced designs. They were the first to create all-accessible and full steel airsoft guns of the VSS and AS VAL, followed by the PP-19 Vityaz and the AK-12. They were the first to introduce the best-reproduced, all-steel airsoft gun of the PKP Peczeneg machine gun, reproducing all the details of the real steel counterpart. They filled the empty space left by the long out-of-production all-steel airsoft guns of the NDM86 sniper rifle made by Real Sword (the Chinese analog of the Soviet SVD) with their SVD and more recently even the SvD-S! However, airsoft guns of niche (in terms of popularity of the regular AK) eastern firearms are not the only thing LCT spoiled us with. For hardcore airsoft pedants, the manufacturer has produced a whole line of accessories that increase the realism of the airsoft gun such as thin pistol grips equipped with a special slim motor, dummy bolt carrier with gas piston, plum-colored plastic parts sets and even airsoft guns with built-in EBB system with the previously mentioned full steel bolt!

Airsoft guns from LCT - are they worth it?

As a happy owner of currently 6 airsoft guns from LCT in stock configurations from the 2015 to 2021 batches and a regular participant in skirmishes, milsims and larger events, I can confidently recommend airsoft guns from this manufacturer. Each of my airsoft guns survived rains, snows, mud, sand, debris and dust during their service. Despite this, I have not observed power drops, still each airsoft gun looks like as it’s out of the box, holds in one piece and shows stable results on the chronograph. Only battered and scratched wooden furniture shows the real mileage of my arsenal, in the case of airsoft gun with plastic furniture it's hard to tell if it’s brand new or if it was used for 5 years. If you value in your airsoft guns quality, lack of loose parts and reliability regardless of the conditions of a composite battlefield check out LCT's offer!
