Market research – airsoft gun up to 130 EUR
The offer of the airsoft market is growing every day. And on the one hand, it is very good news for us, the players, because the competition between brands increases with the increasing number of available models and manufacturers. This, in turn, leads to a gradual improvement in the quality and quantity of available features that represent a potential advantage of some models over others. We also have a choice of an increasing range of unique airsoft guns or the ones based on the firearms, which were not available before.
However, what should we do if, for example, we are just starting our adventure with airsoft or we are looking for a second, spare airsoft gun? Our budget is then rather limited and additionally, we often have to buy additional accessories, such as magazines or batteries. Then the cavernous market offer may turn out to be at least paralyzing for us, because even at the lowest price levels we can find a dozen or so different models, which also often have several variants, for example in colour. Fortunately, I am coming to the rescue and in this article, I will present a few suggestions, which in my opinion will be quite safe choices in the amount of about 130 EUR.
I would just like to point out that I will treat the given value rather loosely and if I find an airsoft gun that goes slightly beyond it, I will also mention it. Maybe instead of additional magazines we will say that we prefer to add to the airsoft gun or wait a bit until we can collect the missing amount. I would also like to add that I will base my proposal on a subjective assessment and on my own experiences. For sure, however, I do not know the entire market and I did not have the opportunity to check each of the available airsoft guns, so if something you expect here is missing, look for me on Instagram and let me know - maybe there will be a second version of this article with readers' suggestions?
Good old classic
When it comes to budget AEG guns, I couldn't overlook the one that, in my opinion, is probably the best option for beginners, which is the SA-J71 CORE™ airsoft rifle. It's a design that will easily provide us with a lot of fun at the start, and when it gets boring, it can be used as a spare unit or sold on the secondary market. The SA-J71 CORE™ rifle is the only polymer AK airsoft gun on the market with a quick spring exchange system.
The Specna Arms CORE line is characterized by good fitting, low weight, and ergonomics. An advantage of CORE series airsoft guns is their low weight, as well as a gearbox equipped with reinforced components, which allows for compatibility even with the strongest springs. Thanks to the ESA system, their replacement can be done quickly. This provides better control over the airsoft gun and allows for adjusting its properties to the prevailing conditions. Specna Arms J-Series™ CORE™ airsoft guns are suitable for both beginners and more experienced players.
Something for the snipers
We will stay within JG airsoft guns. This time, however, we will deal with something that will arouse the imagination of many airsoft players, namely airsoft sniper rifles. Often browsing forums or rather groups on social media devoted to our hobby, we can notice questions about a good sniper rifle to start with. And I am not surprised at all. My first airsoft guns I bought with my own money was a sniper spring rifle. And guess what? I was not satisfied with this purchase. I chose a model that offered virtually no tuning potential without spending a lot of money. Fortunately, we currently have airsoft guns such as JG367 available.
The airsoft sniper rifle in question is known more widely as the BAR-10. It is a bolt action construction that requires us to reload after each shot. It gives a very satisfying feeling when using it, which is reminiscent of scenes from war movies or computer games. The biggest advantage of this design, however, is that propulsion system is compatible with the well-known and popular VSR style. This means that after the purchase, when we put aside some additional funds, we will be able to increase the performance of the airsoft gun, giving ourselves a real range advantage over most standard electric airsoft guns. However, let's face it. Right out of the box, spring-loaded airsoft guns will have a range and focus comparable to the AEG design. Due to the much lower rate of fire, we will have to be very careful not to be overwhelmed by the enemy's fire. This, however, should come as no surprise to players considering becoming airsoft snipers. After all, if we want to gradually build our arsenal, the airsoft sniper in question will be a good and quite budget base.
We can buy JG367, without any additional accessories, but up to 130 EUR we will find a set, that contains not only an airsoft gun but also a dedicated scope. This might be an interesting option, especially for beginners out there. But if for any reason we do not like the scope that is included there we can get us an aftermarket one. I especially recommend scopes by Theta Optics. We will also need heavy BBs for the ASG sniper. However, we will be able to easily handle the rather minimal tactical equipment due to the fact that the sniper rifle does not require us to carry so much ammunition for the electric airsoft gun at once.
If you prefer handguns
Sometimes, however, we are not looking for a long airsoft gun. We have a certain amount to distribute and we are interested in pistols, which will be an additional, spare unit for us. After all, as we know - switching to a side airsoft gun is faster than reloading. Or maybe after reading the blog article, we were tempted by a sniper rifle from JG and now we need an additional airsoft gun for short-range fights? No problem. We can also successfully look for a sensible airsoft pistol in this amount.
In sub 130 EUR budget my first choice would be an electric airsoft pistol. This category is dominated by constructions by CYMA. The purchase of an airsoft gun is half of the budget available to us, so we can easily look for additional accessories such as magazines or batteries. Let's not forget that for such a construction you will also need a holster and small pouches for carrying magazines. I would personally bet by money on CM.127 ideally if you can get version that is fitted with MOSFET unit.
But what if we are not interested in electric pistols? It is quite understandable. These types of guns sacrifice realism very much for the sake of simpler operation. They do not have a blowback system and they do not operate as a real gun. Up to 130 EUR I can recommend handguns from WE. This manufacturer is well experienced and renewed by bringing solid GBB systems to the market. But if that style of gun does not suit you then I can show something more futuristic that I also recommend AAP-01 by Action Army. It is a GBB airsoft gun that stormed the ASG market some time ago and quickly became extremely popular.
Conclusions
130 EUR is the amount that is enough to buy a basic ASG gun and often also enough to buy some necessary accessories for it. If we spend a little less, we can invest in, for example, better quality BBs. The basic question that we have to answer will be whether we prefer an assault airsoft gun, or are we planning a different use for our future purchase. The propulsion method is also important. Would you prefer spring or electric airsoft gun? In this article, I wanted to present ASG constructions that may be of interest to players of various skill levels. Therefore, my proposals would be appreciated by both beginners and more experienced players. If you are looking for an airsoft gun that will turn out to be an interesting proposition to start with, or if you are looking for a second unit to complete your collection, you can definitely use the tips in this text.
